Key Features
Add a piece of vibrant, understated art to your living spaces with the Fontana 1853 Table Lamp from FontanaArte. Starting with a round base of pierced metal, this modern fixture was first created in 1954 by the talented designer Max Ingrand. A rounded glass body narrows as it rises, holding out a shade of the same material. The glass takes on an inner glow of its own when illuminated by lamping from both within and above, while also sending down a potent pool of light for reading or task use.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 years later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Pontis legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
